Feel protected and prepared for your period with our leak-proof period underwear. Designed with multiple absorbency levels to cater for different flows, our absorbent period panties mean you can go the whole day without having to use tampons or pads. Using a three-layer patented technology, our period-proof underwear wicks moisture away from the body and locks it into the centre layer, meaning you feel dry and smell fresh all day long.

So, how does Modibodi leak-proof underwear work for periods?
Even though the absorbent panel is only 3mm thick, it’s made up of three layers of our Modifier Technology™ which can hold up to 20mls of flow. In tampon terms, thats around 2 whole tampons worth!
Here’s the official breakdown of all the layers and what they do for you while you’re on your period:
The top layer quickly wicks away moisture, fights bacteria and stops smells, so you stay dry and fresh
The middle layer safely absorbs fluid and locks it away (2.5 – 20mls depending on the flow you go with)
The bottom layer is extra waterproof protection, so you’re super secure and safe from any leak-throughs.
Frequently asked questions about period underwear that we’d love to clear up…
How often should you change your period underwear? …Most of our customers report wearing one pair all day long and feeling GREAT! They’ll simply change into a new pair to sleep in if they want overnight protection. We just recommend going with the absorbency level that you feel best reflects your flow. If you find yourself wanting to change your underwear mid-way through the day then we have a super useful wet/dry bag available that’s perfect for storing used undies in until you can get home to wash them.
Do you feel the blood? …Some of our customers say they do and others don’t. Once your flow touches Modibodi it will be absorbed into the centre layer of the gusset and you will feel fresh and dry!
How many pairs do I need to keep me covered for my whole period? …This really depends on how often you do your laundry! You need one pair a day (and one pair a night if you want to sleep in them too), so we recommend counting that quota against how frequently you’ll put on a wash load. So if you do laundry once every three days and you only need them for day wear then you’ll only need three pairs!
