Sweaty groin? Here’s why and how to fix it
Sweating is a natural bodily response to regulate body temperature. In a hot climate like Australia and during exercise our crotch area is unfortunately prone to unwanted sweating.
Like the underarms, the crotch area is packed with sweat glands (apocrine and eccrine). Much of the regular underwear we wear uses fabrics that either absorb moisture so you feel wet longer, or prevents air from circulating in this area, which leads to moisture and unwanted body odour.
When we stay in our sweaty and wet clothes the moisture can cause unwanted chaffing, sweat rash and in some cases fungal diseases.
In an ideal world we would all change our underwear throughout the day to ensure the area is kept dry. However, changing our underwear really isn’t that practical and why should we have to.
This is one of the reasons I decided to develop my Stylish and SMART underwear range. Modibodi underwear is sweat, stain and leak resistant underwear and can take you from the office to the gym and home again. My garments use natural antimicrobial properties to kill bacteria and prevent odour caused by perspiration and also work to transport moisture away from the body. The underpants also include our patent pending super slim (.3mm), super absorbent (over 5ml) liner which effectively absorbs and evaporate little leaks, so you stay dry and fresh.
