Having a bladder with a mind of its own despite doing my pelvic floor exercises, these work to catch those awkward dribbles but, unexpectedly, give a psychological boost to those "OMG gotta go now!" moments because suddenly you don't have to worry about wet knickers and needing to change because you know they can handle it which calms it all down; no mad rush to the loo holding onto your waistband because now you think, "If I don't get there in time, I'm fine." Amazingly, what happens then is that you DO make it in time. Calming it all down - no panic, no accidents. It's like having a friend who says "It's OK, if you need me I'm here," which is great but also wonderful to be able to say "It's OK, I've got it."
